Ukandu Family Camp

Ukandu Family Camp is a chance for families experiencing childhood or adolescent cancer to come and have an outrageously fun summer camp experience! Family Camp, held at Camp Magruder near Rockaway Beach at the Oregon Coast, is a week-long sleepaway camp open to people of all ages and families of all shapes and sizes. This is a great opportunity for kids who are too young for Camp Ukandu or parents who are excited to experience the ‘You Can Do Spirit' with their kids!

At Ukandu, we know that a childhood cancer diagnosis impacts each member of the family. Ukandu Family Camp provides opportunities for the entire family to create moments of joy together and build community with other families in a safe and supportive environment. You can expect boating, beach days, art, games, and a whole lot of fun!

  • Families who have a child with a current or former cancer diagnosis. Cancer affects each member of the family, and families come in all shapes and sizes. Ukandu Family Camp is a space for the entire family to find hope, joy and connection with one another - as well as with other families who have journeyed the same path.

  • We have a medical professional to support in med distribution and general care. We also have Ukandu’s medical director on call for the entire week, as well as a regional hospital, Adventist Health Tillamook, 25 minutes from camp.

    In addition, we havemental health support through our Rainbow Connection Team as well as our “Coffee Chats” for parents led by a licensed mental health professional.
